Hi,
It's probably nothing this happens (as lots of women on here can confirm) but you shouldn't ignore blood, go get yourself checked out even if you've had a smear recently. It will put your mind at rest. We women are good at giving advice but I find we also reglect ourselves or put things off, don't do it! Try not to worry;
Hi Lozza
bless you hun... Make an appt at your Docs and get checked out as this should not be happening.. but our bodies are strange peri & post menopause...
Causes of Postmenopausal Bleeding
Several health conditions can cause postmenopausal bleeding, including:
Polyps: These are growths, usually noncancerous, that can develop in the uterus, on the cervix, or inside the cervical canal, and may cause bleeding.
Endometrial atrophy (thinning of the endometrium): The endometrium, the tissue that lines the uterus, can become very thin after menopause because of diminished estrogen levels, and may cause unexpected bleeding.
Endometrial hyperplasia: In this condition, the lining of the uterus becomes thick, usually as a result of too much estrogen and too little progesterone, and bleeding may occur as a result.
The list goes on, so best to get checked and put your mind at rest...
go on... pick up the phone now and put your mind at rest or you will worry about it..
Jay xx
Go to the doc. most times its something simple, but if its not sooner you go the better. I have had blood few times and it was nothing serious. But i had to go to doctor to find out.
totally agree..
its probably nothing, or a blip, or something easily solved by the Doc, its the worrying you will put yourself through thinking about it... so put your mind at rest, act soon as poss... we have enough to deal with without something in the back of your mind all the time... good luck Lozza 😃

Totally agree as well. I know this is not what we like to read but I noticed blood when I was 50, went to the Doc's and they found pre-cancerous cells on my cervix. Long story short - life saving op result. Really glad I went. Like every one says it could be nothing but it is best to be safe. So many things it could be, including nothing to worry about which I really hope it is. Good luck.
Thank you ladies,I have an appointment with the Dr tomorrow,will keep you updated.
