So, today was my first proper day in Seoul, South Korea and somehow I have managed to injure my ankle. By me falling from the last step & rolling my ankle. It instantly swelled up to a size of a tennis ball & i was only able to walk a few steps before hurting.
Thankfully this sweet Korean guy in the shop spoke some English and he brought me some ice & checked i could point my toes to the ceiling (i can, with only a little discomfort.) I sat there for nearly 2+ hours with ice and elevation before getting a taxi back to the hotel. At this point I could walk on it with minor pain, only if i walked on the heel of my foot.
Once back at the hotel I also got some ice, put a compression sock on and kept my!leg raised. I went to sleep for a few hours and now I’ve woken up the pain has got worse when i walk & has now spread to the inside of my ankle as well. I plan to stay in today to rest it up & hope the swelling goes down, so I can carry on with my travels.
I dont return home for another 3 weeks & still have a trip to Tokyo yet. I’ve spent thousands on this trip for me & my sister & was supposed to be a nice break away from work & uni and now ive got the stress of this injury. Can anyone provide any help? I want to be back up on my feet in no time
