I'm thinking of getting started on a ssri
I'm hoping for one with the least side effects , if possible .
Can everyone give me your opinions on your experiences with ssri and what ones gave bad side effects ect .

It’s really hard to say. You’re best asking your gp from their perspective and what they see in their patients. It really depends on each individual’s makeup. I am on fluoxetine right now for 8 weeks and am not doing well on it. It’s really making me feel incredibly anxious and dizzy. I’m going to the gp on Wednesday to get tapered off it, but other people get on great with it. I didn’t find Lexapro or Sertraline gave me many negative side effects other than night sweats where the bedsheets were soaked and also drunk with tiredness in the morning and very hard to get up. But everyone handles them differently. Some people go crazy on ssri’s and Others have no issues.
Speak to your Dr. I am in citalopram. It's the 2nd time I've had it. First time roundminjmal side effects and it was fabulous. The side effects were worse this time but they did go. I've been in them 2 months now with a gradual increase in dose. I am definitely feeling better. I am also starting counselling which is something you could look into too. Take care and good luck
