This morning I had my staples taken out at home and all went well.
My district care bridge team nurse took just 7 mins to remove 26 staples without the use of any pain killers etc and removed with me in a standing position. All I felt was a very mild sting sensation on a couple of them bu otherwise my pre worries came to nothing. To assist healing the wound after th staples were removed a freezing spray of skin silicate was applied.....that woke me up fast...and told to keep this dry for 24 to 36 hours and no creams. It's now four hours since removal and hip feels fine.
