I’ve had two igg and 2 igm herpes test. One was about 3 weeks after possible exposure the other was 9 weeks after possible exposure. They both Cosme back negative. I spoke to my ob after the 9 weeks test and said I do t have anything to worry about. I know you might say listen to the doctor. But I just want to be sure, I’m stressjng myself out. Has anyone had a change of results after 9 weeks. I have bumps in my butt which she diagnosed as hemmorods. But haven’t gone away. today I noticed a small bump looks like a pimple near my butt crack. It didn’t hurt or itch. Just felt it when I was in the shower. Can anyone tell if it looks like an outbreak. Pic included. Also of my butthole where she said it was hemorrhoids. Thank you.
Herps test is accurate at 90 days minimum.
To be 100% sure test at 90 days and 180 days.
Is that for both igg and igm. I was told one looks for new exposure while the other one looks for antibodies. I got tested after 3 weeks so I’m thinking the newly exposure test would be picked up.
Igg is to be tested. Igm often gives false values.
Is 9 weeks after exposure enough time for an accurate result
Yes it is 90% accurate. For 100% test after 6 months from exposure.
How did you learn those number.
From various study groups on Internet.
