Hi all, could anyone give me advice, I had my gallbladder removed now about 10 months ago and I still have allot of bloating and side pains, unfortunately I have IBS as well and fybromyalgia which doesn't help but don't eat hardy anthing fatty apart from sometimes the odd biscuit or cake and just lately over the last few days my stomach has been really bloated and uncomfortable, I've heard about digestive enzynes but not sure whether they would have any side effects for me or suit me can anyone give me some advice please
Hi Stella I'm sorry to hear this. Have you diarrhea or constipation? Bloating seems to be a common side effect from the surgery. Digestive enzymes should help you and probiotics too. I had mine removed 9 months ago and take both. I also take psyllium husk powder as I had diarrhea the first few months. Am slowly reducing it now. It's also good for IBS too. I'm not sure about the pains in your sides. Can you eat normally? Also avoiding fat is actually the worst thing we can do as we need a certain amount of good fats in our diets daily. Hope this helps. X
thanks for your reply, thankfully I didn't have diarrhea but had allot of wind pain, bought the enzymes today hope they help, thanks Stella
Hope they help and you feel better soon. Let me know how you get on with the digestive enzymes. Take care x
