Step 3 CBT

Hello, I'm new here and this is my first posting.

I've had an agoraphobic problem for most of my adult life, to a greater or lesser degree. This has restricted my travel to within a few miles from home. In February this year my 21 year relationship broke down, a huge causing factor was the anxiety problem. About the same time I sought help (again) for the problem, and began graded exposure (again). But this time it's different - the counsellor said we would be doing a very steady start (Step 2 CBT), as an introduction to Step 3 CBT, which he described as intensive. I'm about to start the Step 3, and was wondering if anyone else had any experience of this, especially regarding agoraphobia? I'm quite positive, and the step 2 has already given me a good practice to tackle the problem, with some ground recovered.

Hi heart goes out to you . I have anxiety and due to this cannot relax .i hate leaving the house and worry constantly. Just replied to reassure you someone out here will know how ur feeling and please somebody reply .it really helps to talk to someone who knows how u feel. Wish could help more keep asking if anyone out here understands your specific illness.❤️

To be honest it doesn't really bother me too much as I don't challenge it, and I live within my boundaries. I work for myself and live alone so I have very few commitments and constraints on my life.

However I realise I am missing out on so much, therefore I decided I needed to give it another go, but this time it's war ...
