Stickless - L plates needed

Hello Hippies

Although been walking into town 1 mile without support, today I did my 3 miles without sticks.  People not moving out of my way and rushing past me so closely making me nervous.  Think we need L-plates to say - "Take care new hippy passing by"

Yo, agree! That's why I chose not to hand my crutches back till after aweekend up and down on the mad london tubes!

lol Ann that made me laugh but I know where your coming from. I have that hurdle to get ove yet

Well Gill you need to approach your coming op with a sense of humour and just think of all the new experiences that await you.  The easy bit for you is to have the spinal - enjoy

Hi Ann! Well done you! I am 10 weeks nearly and still on a stick but knee also with arthritis! So I have more issues! Also being a carer isn't easy! Going away this weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary!! So will have a jacuzzi in the hotel! Regards Amanda

What a good idea Ann! Perhaps you could design something! I was amazed by the attitude of people even when I was still on crutches. 14 weeks post op now & don't really feel comfortable out on my own.

do what i do in school - walk without the stick but carry it with you to ward off hurling bodies - rather like a cheerleader!

too funny !!!  congratulations on the enormous accomplishment - 8 + weeks and still needing cane and walker (when shopping) - doesn;t help that non-operated leg is painful - oh well ... L plates sound great ...
