Stiff head and neck from anxiety

My head and neck constantly has tension and is stiff and sore. And I constantly fee like I'm in a dream. My psychiatrist says it's from anxiety but it's about to drive me crazy. I'm on buspar 15mg 3 times a day and idk if it's helping any. Has anyone ever felt this way? If so what helped you? Did you take any medicine?

I've def had it. Seems us anxious folks tend to tense our muscles unknowingly. I do it even when I'm not anxious. I'm bad to do it with my stomach , neck and shoulders. Which of course ties into the head. Just try to make sure u are truly relaxing your body.

I try so hard to relax but I guess I'm not truly relaxing. I guess I'm just so anxious without even knowing it. My neck and head are killing me their so tense.

And some folks are just tense, anxious or not. When your body gets used to being a certain way for months and years it's hard to break. Even when I'm feeling my best my neck and shoulders are tight. Try getting a massage.

Physical therapy helped me.  They work on you and give you exercises to do at home.

Avoid rolling shoulders forward. Keep them down and back. Chin tucked back

The dream state is result of anxiety .

The brain needs to calm down.

I like meditations on you tube for anxiety.  They totally relax my whole body and mind

I use earbuds and lay down.

I've been worried there's something wrong with my head like a brain tumor but I've had a cat scan and I was fine. But thank you I'll try those things and see if they work for me

Yes I've had it really bad. In order I think started

Legs then

Shoulders

Neck

Head

Stomach

Chest

Tension headaches were the worst.. basically I had to learn to accept it as anxiety and learn Progressive muscle relaxation youtube it and it took maybe 2-3 months and it lifted. I used magnesium to help relax the muscles and SUN bathing helps with muscle tension.
