Hi hippies well the ortho nurse came Monday and peeled my plastic wrap off. That was fun not! She felt the lump that is preventing me from sitting without crying like a baby and says its not normal. Surgeon has now been informed and wants to see me in a week if no better. Even he thawt it was weird! To add to my woes I have torn a muscle in my good leg and my hip is burning so in bed feeling bit crappy. Drus nearly all gone and I dread riding in car then long wait to see a GP to get more pills. Up side its raining so hopefully an end to the 30 C days and nights here.
Legal representation NOW I'm no barrister but wish I had one 16yr ago after my THR. The hospital has an army of lawyers you need at least one. Document EVERYTHING. Money won't stop pain but you can buy a lot of opioids when you get a good settlement. One is not enough get a firm behind you, like Suits. The medical team does not want to be your friend, just a good outcome, barring that, that is why the insurance doctors pay is so high, they want to make you happy with lots and lots of cash. Think of it like they feel stupid for paying high insurance if no one collects, keep looking forward. Plan for the best prepare for a war.
Hi Deb,
Aww... that is not good -
How is your scar? is it still covered? You do need more pain medicaion though - You just had major surgery ... do you have a fever ?
Can you go see your surgeon this weekm maybe before the weekend? I don;t know, it would ease my mind ....
I hope that maybe you have less pain now -
Wishing you good night for later
big warm hug
renee
It sounds horrible for you at the moment - heart going out to you - really hope the pain eases for you and it's okay soon. The first weeks are a bit of a battle but you really will feel better soon.
Can the doctor not prescribe over the phone and someone collect your prescription? Particularly it must be painful in the car if you are struggling to sit? Keep going it does get better x
