Hi
I'm now almost 4 weeks post abdominal and it still hurts to wee. It's not severe but I definitely feel it, especially if I don't go immediately. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I don't have any symptoms of infection and everything seems to be going well with my recovery. I even laid on my stomach in bed last night...for about 10 minutes lol
I am 11 weeks post VH and even now it hurts a bit to pee though it's less than it was a while back, I also have no infection so it must be a normal thing.

Hi, I'm 4 weeks abdo on Thursday......I have been having similar problems......I have a glass of cranberry juice a day and that seems to be helping...my poor husband is sharing a bed within wife and about a dozen pillows......although my wound does not hurt that much by skin generally just feels really sore and sensitive.
Hi Christelle
Are you drinking enough fluids? If the wee is stinging you it could be because it's not diluted enough. The more water you drink, the more your wee will be diluted and not so strong. Did you just have a hysterectomy? - I had an anterior (bladder) repair as well, and I wonder whether that is why you are feeling some pain. If you are worried perhaps you should ring the Gynae Dept where you had the op done and ask them if it's normal.

:-)
If Christelle is anything like me, it doesn't sting it is just a little pain, can't explain it, I am drinking at least 1-2 litres each day.
Hi. I am seven weeks post op today and am still suffering when going for a wee😞Had a wee infection at week 5 followed immediately by a pelvic infection last week but although now finished antibiotics there is definately pain and pressure in that area.No gynae follow up is given in our area but last week my gp contacted hospital to request that i be seen in their clinic and the appointment arrived today for 18th March.Wish i could lay on my stomach or side, but still too sore with swelly belly and really sensitive skin on tummy so i too am still on my back surrounded by pillows.
Hope you feel better soon but don't leave it too long if it doesn't feel right, speak to your gp.

Hi Christelle
I am 20 days post TAH and I experience the same feeling. I also feel my flow is less than it used to be. If it's not one thing it seems it's another! Wish I could click my heels three times and be 100% healed!
Me too......I'm fed up now......please tell me we are going to feel well again!!!!!!!
Yes, the same. Not stinging just pain and I drink loads. Sooo annoying
Honestly, I don't know the details of the actual surgery. Not had a follow up after surgery and just told everything went well and that they had to remove loads of endometriosis and another fibroid that was hidden along with the enormous one that went with the uterus. I'm going to gp for the details so I will mention the pain then. I am drinking loads
