today I am 10 week post op and just bent down to catch something that was falling, did not have time to think, and now my tummy feels sore surely by now it should be ok to bend down without it hurting?

It was probabally more to do with the sudden movement than the actual bending down, but I'm far from an expert on this subject...I hope you feel better soon xx

Yes I think so too esp now after 10 weeks but it shows my GP was correct about not sending me back to work yet due to the bending I do there...so bored of day time tv and facebook Lol ...How are you doing? xx

Yes we have to listen to the doctors, I must admit I'm not looking forward to week of Jeremy Kyle!! LOL

I'm ok thanks, just at home for a bit as I work a split shift, need to get on with my ironing but my get up and go has got up and gone! Oh well it won't iron itself so catch up with you later xx

Hi Dee,

I have had a total hysterectomy in October, I am now about 3 months post op and I had a large abodminal scar which still feels sore. I need to be careful what I wear as it sometimes digs into my scar when I bend down.  Everyone is different and I think you are still healing inside.  Just take it easy and do things at your own pace.

I am 13 weeks post op TAH BSO. Went back to work last Monday 12th Jan and only lasted 4 days before getting infection in/on wound. Now off for another week, I know everybody is different but in my opinion, 12 weeks MINIMUM for recovery. One side of my incision in lumpy, sore and very red and am on anti-biotics for 2-3 weeks. Would like to hear from anyone who has suffered similar.

dee102 i am the same 10 weeks post op still abit sore but getting about.. i have done food shopping and i now can walk to my son to school and my other son to nursery.. on my right side always feels like someone has kicked me in it and very bruised. i hope you feel alot better soon.

I have just started doing the washing again today and now I know I can feel it.

I have not chanced food shopping yet I am letting my fingers do that online lol

It will come right for us slowly smile
