Hi I am 3 weeks post op abdominal hysterectomy I am still sore and swollen still got bruises coming out , I have tried to see my GP due to a swelling but the nurse told me to give it a couple of more weeks to settle down , but it won't harm anyone for you to see your GP even if he says nothing wrong at least you will know good luck and hope you feel better soon
Hi donna
I was the same and Iam about 17 weeks or more since my big op ans feel sore to touch on my left side and still gets pain which I find odd. You are still in the early days all I did for the first 10 weeks was lay down ams watch TV eating lots lol. They say it takes a good 6 months or more to feel normal again which Iam looking forward to. So chin up and don't do to much tc xx
Hi donna
4 weeks is still very early love, we all keep forgetting what major surgery this is.....I'm 8 weeks on Thursday and still occasionally have to take painkillers at night....my incision and surrounding tissue particularly towards the end of the day is sore and at the sme time numb to touch if that makes sense....I felt exactly the same as you at 4 weeks...I kept thinking that I should be much better....I honestly didn't feel like I had started to turn the corner until last week....it's a slow road yo recovery but it does get better...hang in there and go withwhatyour body is saying x
