I have really apprecaite all the discussions on this forum and the advice that is shared. Everyone is very brave in fighting this beast that is anxiety.
I am doing better than a few weeks ago. I am on anxiety medicines that are really helping to level my anxiety. Also, I am exercising, eating healthy, hydrating and seeing a counselor. I know that this is a process and will take time, but I am still having physical symptoms (chest pain, backache, dizziness, tingling arm/hand) that don't want to leave. I tell myself that it is just anxiety, but it is so hard to accept. At least I am not running to the ER or doctors as I have done in the past, which is progress I guess. Just feeling a little down about it.
It takes time for the body to catch up with all the treatment. The body has to heal too so be patient it will all come together soon. Give it time.n (The body uses a different part of the brain so it too has a memory but its not as potent so it will get the hint its to go away too) i really didnt make that up lol a lot of specialists talk about that connection. **Look at it like you are working on ridding the anxiety bully but theres always that annoying follower that tries to bully you but ends uo too weak to follow thru and surrenders and goes away over time.
Lisa's response is truly comforting for me as well. Now and then we need reminders that it takes time to heal. Naturally we want immediate relief but as she so succinctly puts it, the Anxiety Bully hovers. It was interesting that you commented that you are telling yourself it's just anxiety but that it is hard to accept. That's just residual fear, nothing more, nothing less.
You have made great strides, done all the right things!
