Hi, I'm just looking for any advice. I'm still getting bad hot flushes and they are embarrassing especially at work. I've stopped my HRT patches as I have three haemangiomas on my liver and I believe that they could cause the haemangiomas to grow. I have had both ovaries removed also.
The hot flushes are really bad and I look like a red beacon, even my arms become bright red. How long will these go on!
i had a full hysterectomy nearly 5 weeks ago now and had terrible flushes. Within a day of starting my HRT they had stopped. I use eosteogel. Rub it on my upper arm every morning.
Sorry I have no advice on what else you could do to stop them.
When I lived in Spain I ran out of my HRT I took with me, and they don't believe in it out there much. The Consultant told me to give up coffee, caffeine, and alcohol. A bit radical I know, but I was desperate, I was having the most awful menopause, and I have to say it worked after about 2 weeks all my hot flushes went, I was amazed. it took me longer to get over the withdrawal from coffee, but well worth it.
Thanks for replying Jacqueline, I will try and cut out tea and coffee, I drink decaffeinated coffee at the moment, but I still drink tea and know what you mean about the withdrawal, headaches and all. I don't drink too much alcohol.
It is interesting that the consultant in Spain thought it was only due to tea,
coffee and alcohol. I'm glad stopping them worked for you, it's worth a try I suppose.
I know it is a bit drastic but it might help. Since then I have cut out sugar, wheat and Lactocose and have never felt fitter, not that I am suggesting you do anything so dramatic. I was getting terrible sores around my mouth and doctors and hospitals could not cure it, then I read a book and the first thing that points to wheat and gluten intolerance is sores around the mouth that will not heal. In three days I was cured! It shocks me just how much food plays a part in us not feeling well!
I hope you soon get some relief from your hot flushes, they are so draining.
Love
Jacqui

How are you doing lee ? I started back to work today I had to ask a customer to come and carry their microwave in because it was very heavy and he didn't seem best pleased my hubbie put it in the car for me I was hopeing for a quite day but ended up delivering 95 parcels only two were heavy and the other heavy one customer was quite happy to carry it
Sugar could be your problem, I was trying not to be too radial, but sugar does play havoc in the brain and quite often causes hot flushes, or an itchy rash. He! he! and before you say 'I don't have much sugar', virtually every packet, tin or jar has sugar in it. It comes under quite a few different names. To get free of the 'poison' as I think of it, I had to give up everything manufactured, mind you I feel so wonderful it was a small price to pay, but not for everyone I agree, it is a very hard road to follow and I would not recommend anyone does it unless they are truely committed to doing it. It is just that I had the most awful menopause while in Spain where they do not believe in drugs to help, and I was addicted to sugar, so I was desperate!
Sorry to ramble on, he! he! a pet subject of mine, and I would love everyone to feel as well as I do.
I have no choice I have to do what comes on my rounds but I think it was only that busy because of the bank holiday yesterday I hope I glad you're beginning to heal I'm not cooking tonight hubbie is picking up fish and chips going back to my parcels though if the customer didn't carry the microwave I would have told him hubbie would do it later I defiantly wouldn't have lifted it
I know, it is a big step too far. I have been addicted to sugar all my life, and if you had told me 2 years ago I would give up sugar, I would never have believed it! We all have to do what we need to get through life.
Most of them would but you do get some that are not so nice . Some of my customers today were really pleased to see me it's nice to know I've been missed all I need is to find someone to job share with me and do holiday cover for me to I want to go back to doing four days a week again after two months
