Still Tired and run down

Why Why Why

I have had autoimmune thyroiditis (diagnosed!) since 2006. I am sick of getting every cold I am exposed to. I am sick of being exhausted. I'm sick of going back to the doctor.

Most of all I'm sick of being told by the doctor that my levels are fine. Ahhhhhhhhhhh

If I feel so bad who is right me or the doc?

Hi Fieldmouse, I sympathise, I was diagnosed in 2006, after being hypothyroid for several years. I do feel better than I did 2 years ago, but the way I feel is so erratic from day to day, a cople of good days them '3 'bad' days I nowhere near feeling like I did before all this hit me. I'm fed up of going back and forth to the doctor, as he thinks I should be fine now I'm 'medicated'. You're not alone as you can see from this website, just keep looking after yourself smile

You.

You are right.

Have a look at a site called thyroiduk (followed by dot org). A UK charity for thyroid problems. Especially look at the personal experiences there.

All the best

Hi

YOU'RE RIGHT! I 've had such a hard time with my GP and endo and struggled to get where I am now. I'm still not right but mentally I'm a bit better than before. I still have bad days and my mood can change with the clip of a finger. I don't know what that means but I'm so tired of battling now that I've just let go.

You've got to be fighter to be heard and remember you know yourself better than what they do. When did you last have your levels checked?
