Hi guys, I've had fibromyalgia and cfs now for about 3 1/2 yrs, for the past 8 or 9 months my whole body itches and in the last few months I have experienced tremors in my arms, hands and legs, and body and also an intense stinging pain that stems from my hips down to my knees then down my shin to my ankles. I hope you guys know of what it could be as it is driving me to distraction and my sleep is really poor.
again so do i and many other sufferers itching for me is all over scalpdown to my feet and can go on for days .
tremors and jerking movements to all part of it .
infact it would be easier to say what isent part of fibro
i think it would be a short list .
Hi Melanie
Wow, poor you....Fibro is probably the pains that you are receiving unfortunately. I was feeling good today with the sun out, I started to pull the weeds in my garden and found it therapeutic. Only managed to do half of my garden and my whole body hurts......ouch. It's an achievement to have done what I have today.
Melanie you need to stay calm and positive and I hope the pains ease of for you. Are you on any meds ?
Sleeping has been a major problem for me and I have been suffering for over 20 years and only diagnosed Aug 2014 with Fibro. Since I have found out I have had Cognitive Behaviour Therapy which helps with mindful thoughts and have found this technique of thinking helps with my daily life. I believe in live for the moment and enjoy the moment too, also you can only do one day at a time.
Hope you find the answers you want on this forum. People are so friendly and helpful here.
Gentle hugs to you and take care x
Hi Mel. ALA - Apha Lipoic acid is good for that. However because the symptoms you're describing are also common to people with MS, do not get scared, but please go to your doctor and report the symptoms in detail. He should have you have some more testing and hopefully will come out as just another FibroM set of symptoms. ALA and magnesium may meanwhile help. Take care.
Hiya Melanie, so sorry to hear of your pains...unfortunately Fibro has many differing symptoms sometimes only experienced once or twice.. - at different times..you don't say if you on any meds.? Ithe first thing I thought was maybe it's a drug reaction? I would go back to the doctors and make sure it's nothing else first..as Bee says..try to stay calm and positive..it's soo important not to get stressed out living with Fibro...hope you get some answers really soon that help, lots of info on here too...have a lovely day..be blessed..:-) xxx
Hi Melanieb.....it's strange that you are only experiencing these symptoms now (or maybe you have had them earlier on, and didn't take note of same ??)...for these symptoms were the ones that I first started with over 20 years ago....I couldn't understand why I "had an itch for no reason"..when I asked others one day, while at work, and all looked at me as if I were mad....the docs/nurses who were with me at time said "you don't get an itch for no reason"...and I always suffered from the "shakes" when holding my knife and fork....family always commented and asked if I was ok?....and yes, the first doc I went to (our hospital chief Physicain) thought it maybe MS, and did all the testing, which came back negative (thank goodness)....so yes, I feel that the shakes/itches/Stinging pain (which I also get in the humid weather/in airconditioning), are all symptoms of Fibro....just another THING to have to put up with...as the others say, are you taking any meds? ....as I have found these symptoms arn't as bad since commencing on Amytriptilline.....let us know if this helps you?....Bron
