Hi I had tvt sling and posterior vag wall repair on 8 feb so I'm approx 5 weeks post op I have had a piece of stitching come away in the vagina during wiping after voiding which I know is normal but then yesterday I had a longish piece one out of my bum during wiping after a Bowel action no knots in these pieces of stitches just straight thread the one from my bottom was about 2cm long. I'm baffled ! Sorry if this is silly I don't understand why this came out the rectum 🙈😕
Maybe it was from perineum but as you wipe backwards it seemed like it's from rectum x
They probably come from the perineum, you may have been stitched right to the back into the rectum to strengthen the wound. When it heals this scar is what will be supporting your posterior repair. See your GP or nurse if you're worried. X
