I am desperately seeking some information on stoma reversal.  I have had a stoma bag after my operation for bowel cancer for over a year.  I have struggled to come to terms with it, but can't wait to see the back of it.  In two weeks time I am due to see my surgeon to discuss reversal.   I feel like celebrating finally saying goodbye to this monstrosity but because I have read so many negative comments regarding problems that occur after reversal, my excitement has now turned to dread.

please is there anyone who has had a reversal that can provide me with some confidence.

I will have this done anyway,  I know my bowels will never be the same again, but all I want to know is it going to be horrendous, and am I going to regret having this op.

Thank you for your reply and good wishes.  I have tried google, and this is where I have picked up all the negative comments.  I was hoping to get some real good feedback from someone who has had this, and it's all been plain sailing.  But thank you anyway, it's good to share our feelings, that makes me feel better.
