Hi, I am new to this forum. In May I began to experience burning indigestion. I took ppi which did not make the problem any better. The pain often felt like someone was poking a finger into my sternum and would sometimes go from my right upper abdomen to my left. Sometimes this pain felt like it was in my chest. I have periods of nausea. My stools look slightly pale but not yellow. My stomach is gurgling all the time. Sometimes it feels like pressure below my sternum. I have had bloods that showed my amylase was slightly raised. I had repeat bloods and the amylase was back to within normal values. I am due an ultrasound on the 15 September and have been listed for a gastroscopy. I am terrified I have pancreatic cancer because of the raised amylase. Its all I think about
