Stomach Issues for months

Hello everyone, just signed up to this site as I feel I need some people to talk to maybe experiencing what I am. I'm 22 years old and about 3 months ago I had a lot of discomfort in my abdomen area, not much pain just discomfort. then a week later I had a chest infection, sore throat, cough, and when that cleared up which was mid March to this day I have a muscus in the back of my throat can't get it up so I'm swallowing it all the time then doctor prescribed fluconazle didn't work. back to the abdomen discomfort it's always been there I hardly experience pain maybe once every a few days but only slightly. I've had occasional nausea, but my appetite is normal as always. my tongue is also yellow towards the back which I find strange. and here's another symptom I really don't know what causes this, I've been getting a rash on my chest for weeks after I eat full upper chest it covers and goes within the hour. however I've not had that rash for two weeks, and only just today I had a footlong subway and the rash appeared again but on my stomach and that went quickly maybe only lasted 2/3 mins. my GP has finally referred me to a specialist after a lot of nagging, just waiting for my appointment now. I am terrified of what this is and can't stop thinking of the worst possible outcomes. I nearly forgot to mention I had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and everything came back normal apart from my vitamin D levels which were low but I'm not sure this can relate to all these symptoms? I've just started taking my prescription for them this Friday just gone, I take two a week.

Also forgot to mention my stools have varied over the past month too.

It's good to talk to people wit similar problems. If nothing else you can get a direction to go in. Almost sounds like an allergy to something you're eating. I think a gastroenterologist would be your best bet . Get a clearance from him and go from there. A lot of times it seems we just go around in circles trying to find out what's going on in our bodies. I've said before , doctors don't have all the answers but they are still our only avenue. So if you do find out what's causing this post it back on here. I'm sure others have the same issues. Maybe they even found out what the problem is and can give you better guidance.

thanks for the reply, yeah it could be an allergy considering the rash does only appear after eating. waiting on my appointment to see the specialist hopefully have concrete answers come the end of the month.

Sounds like an allergy. Keep a food diary to identify food triggers.  Try avoiding wheat. dairy, gluten,  fizzy drinks, artificial sugars,   Ask for a celiac test, stool test for h pylori. ultrasound, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and CT.  Food intolerance, stool changes such as diarrhoea and constipation, nausea and stomach pain that is constant or comes and goes are symptoms of IBS.  If all your tests are negative, IBS can be diagnosed. I have the symptoms I have described but no food intolerance.  I was diagnosed with IBS.

Ahh! See ! Here's someone that can identify with you. Follow their ad ice. You have nothing to lose. Good luck to you

thank you, I will start noting everything down. and as for the endoscopy etc I will mention to the specialist later this month. can all things like muscus in the throat constantly relate to things like that?

Mucus in the throat may be more related to your chest infection.  Sometimes  it can take a few weeks for a cough and mucus to clear after the infection has gone.  I had a chest cold in April and I still had the cough well into May although I no longer had the cold. If you have mucus in your stool, however, this is common to IBS.

yeah there chest infection cleared after a week but the muscus in the throat has been there for months. I think I read something though with me having vitamin D deficiency it's more common for me to have respiratory problems

You could also ask your doctor for vitamin D tablets or get vitamin D supplements from health food shops if your levels are low.

yeah sorry forgot to mention I got prescribed them Friday just gone :-) thanks for your help

Your welcome.
