Hi I’ve had ongoing IBS for years but now I have a very sharp pain lower right quandrant. I’ve been to a&e and it’s not appendix. I have raised calprotectin at 338, I’m aneamic and I have impacted feces. Does anyone have any idea what this could be ? Clear colonoscopy on large bowel
Have you had a camera pill to see if you have any ulcerations/inflammation in your upper digestive tract? Inflammation in the upper digestive tract may suggest Crohns.
Calprotectin of 250 and above is high though some people with IBS have higher calprotectin than those without IBS.
