Hi could anyone help me my husband has a really sore stomach for the last 7 weeks he also has peraistant cough and fatigue any ideas doctor has put him on omoperzole but isnt easing anyting he eats a plain diet . thanks
Hmm stomach bowel is under belly Hutton, where is his pain?
Give us some ides of what you call a plain diet, Coffee, a NO NO, chocolate a NO NO, onions a NO NO<, and thats only a coupole of ideas, . I have gastritis, or imfamed stomach lining, have had it for years, so have worked out what I can eat and what I can;t, for example I can eat a cinnamon bun in the morning, but not in the afternoon, seemes to cope with when I am upright, but if I eat in the afternoon or evening, causes me a lot of pain.
What worries me more is the cough, and fatigue, cough can be a symptom of fluid on the lungs, maybe from infection or maybe even from virus, some of the coughs take months to clear up, some years ago now I had what became known as the 100 day cough, viral, and related to whooping cough, nearly drove me mad, every breath I took, bark bark bark.
A persistant cough can be related to acid reflux. You can get it from silent heartburn and also when you feel the acid. Persistsnt pain of any type can also make you feel fatigued. Is the stomach pain in any particular location or does it move about? Does he have any change in bowel habits?
Has your husband tried a food diary to see if food is causing trouble? Keep going back to your doctor and push for tests. If you get nowhere with this, see someone else. A gastro doctor would be a good place to start.
