hi everyone.
basically every evening after dinner i tend to suffer from extreme nausea - sometimes with vomiting. i often get intense burning pains in the centre of my tummy just above my belly button between my ribcages. it's agony to the point of trying to squat or sit in all weird positions to ease it. then it suddenly disappears on its own after about 20-40 mins. i've also lost 11lbs in about 2 weeks without dieting or anything.
the doctore said to make an app for blood tests - which is a week on tues then i'll have to wait about a week for results. any ideas what could be wrong or if it's worth my while going to a&e?
Hi jenna1206
I would request your doctor order you an ultrasound scan to investigate what is going on in your gut and digestive system....
Hi there. It sounds like gallbladder attacks. Are you nauseated all day. And vomit. For the meantime try to stay away from fried foods and fatty foods. They could be triggering these attacks. Blood work won't show this problem. I had a lot of blood work that came back normal. Turned out I had numerous stones and sludge causing bad nausea and attacks and dry heaves. I lost 35 lbs. Because lack of appetite. So tell doctor about testing gallbladder. Good Luck. 👍 Suggest Ultrasound and Ct scan.😎
How long have you had these symptoms? Have you tried a food diary to see if a food is upsetting your stomach? I would wait for your appointment since you only have a week to wait for tests and another to wait for the resuls. It isn’t that long. Conditions like gastritis can cause ribcage pain and food intolerance. H pylori can also cause an upset stomach.
