Stools leaves a high amount of residue...

Hi,

I'd say normal amount but enough to require approx. 10min just to clean. Everything is normal I'm just looking for any tips to reduce amount of residue.

In all my life I only remember twice that I made it absolutely perfect, you could barely need to clean.

Could a certain mixture of food in a particular order just happen to create it perfect? In other words: Are there food that combine well together to create it perfect?

Thanks

Hi, I'm having a similar problem, causing a lot of soreness. My research suggested possibly hemorrhoids, went to GP, referred to hospital for a sigmoidoscopy ( camera up the back passage ) which I had yesterday. Ruled out hemorrhoids, but did find some diverticula (small pockets in bowel ). I am expecting to receive some dietary advice to help deal with this, and also about loose stools, so will let you know. I think more fibre is the answer, to bulk up the stool therby requiring less cleaning. I have also been advised to use less paper and also to try and use the shower head when possible.

I'm going to try crackers, I actually find plent of so called food that adds bulk and firm up stools, those that contain soluble fibre for instance...

Now I remember, the stool was solid, type 4 in the Bristol stool chart and it had a sort of slippery gel like covering around it, which is the reason why it "slipped" out easily leaving no residue at all.

No idea yet what could have created this gel like thing.

If you ever remember, or discover the cause, make sure you patent it, you could make a fortune !
