i have been on Pregablin for 6 years now. I'm an amputee and suffer badly with phantom pains. I want to stop taking them but fear not only the phantom pains becoming unbearable but also how I may react on other levels. I take 600mg daily. My memory has been badly affected as well as my concentration levels and I feel constantly tired. Has anyone on here sucessfully come off pregablin? I feel that I am a spectator watching my life pass by and all my emotions are very flat. Hoping someone can help me out with an answer. Thanks in advance
If you read the Lyrica label and other people’s experience, it is better to go off slowly, like over the course of a week or so. You may also note that a week is not enough time. So come down off the pregabalin as slowly as possible. Do not reduce the dosage until the symptoms at the current level had become tolerable. Cutting down psychoactive medication like pregabalin should be done gradually. Some doctors recommend a gradual reduction over three months or so for this kind of medication.
Hi Linda96368
is that similar to Gabapentin? I have been talking for 13 years for phantom pain on my ABK leg and has worked for me
