Initially on 75mg for major depression.
3 yrs in and decided to stop due to weight gain and side effects.
Dropped dose very slowly to 50mg had some side effects felt quite low stuck with this for 5 months.
Dropped dose to 35mg stayed on this for 2 months
Changed diet to 5 meals a day no sugar high protein, low salt lots of water, no dairy have felt amazing, loads of energy, lost weight not feeling hungry all the time felt confident to drop dose.
Also going to the gym 3 days a week cardio and weights so then
Dropped dose to 50mg stayed on this for 2 weeks felt ok, a little dizzy a few zaps.
So I then stopped this has been really hard.
I have 2 young kids have had 2 days lots of zapping sounds, dizzy, nausea, aggression which peaked on day 3.
Day 3 -I was bed bound
Day 4 very aggressive,down, flat determined to get my own serotonin kicking in did a huge walk. Bad sleep.
Day 5 Did a big walk have less zapping got out, spent the day with a friend and am feeling almost back to normal!
I think it going to get better and better.
Iam waiting on the following natural meds to arrive which I’ve read are good im going to list them but haven’t started them yet.
I hope this helps anyone trying get off this medication and others -diet, sleep, mindfulness and looking after yourself is everything you need to be in the right space to do this. I waited till I had holidays my children had my husband as this withdrawal is hard, but you can do it, stick it out but have help -especially if children are involved.
