Strabismus (Squint) Classification and Management

Strabismus, or squint, is any misalignment of the eyes. As a result the retinal image is not in corresponding areas of both eyes, which may result in diplopia in adult patients and can lead to amblyopia in childhood. Most strabismus results from abnormalities of the neuromuscular control of eye movement, although (less commonly) the cause may be disorder of the external ocular muscles.
