I had unprotected sex about a month and a half ago. Ever since I’ve been having a slew of symptoms on and off. For those of you who have herpes, please shed some light into your other symptoms…When the symptoms kick in, they all come at once.
Here’s the list - Headache, frequent urination, itch and discomfort on my scrotum and penis with red marks that seem to come and go but never blister, and bad joint pain. I’ve never had any of these symptoms prior to the unprotected sex (started about a week after), so it’s definitely not just psychosomatic.
I haven’t had an outbreak, but it’s my understanding that you can have other symptoms without the outbreak? Maybe this is more common with HSV1? I have no idea but if someone can lend of insight I would be incredibly grateful.
I’ve gone and gotten tested for full panel - everything except herpes because they required an active outbreak which I don’t have (wouldn’t do blood test). Everything else has come back negative. Please let me know if anyone else has had similar symptoms…
