Hi anyone who can help. I will keep this as short and to the point as possible. I am aged 42 years. I had a seizure at age 19 years when doing some heavy lifting. After neurological tests didn't bring much up, a narrowing of the aorta was found and then repaired under general anesthetic. I had my 20th birthday in hospital after the operation. The operation was apparently a success and all the check ups every years since confirm this. Straight after the operation I remember my eyes feeling strange, sensitive to looking around but not necessarily light sensitive. sensitive to patterns and looming around a lot. I went home after a week in hospital and simply never felt right. weird head sensations and also visual migraines began at this time. I was 20 years old. Neurologists and cardiolists cleared me and I was told to just get on with life. Which I did. For about the next 10 years the symptom's remained mild until 30 years of age when they got bad again for about two weeks. I did some more testing at the time but everything checked out okay. So I moved on and got on with life. I am now married with one child and am 42 years old and travelling visiting family in Europe. I am from New Zealand. since I have been here the symptoms have returned again and I am due to fly back him in 2 days and am not looking forward to the long journey with sick eye/head sensation all the time. The symptoms have never entirely gone away I've r the years but have been pretty much gone for years at a time During the good years I would maybe feel light headed sometimes when looking around a lot or bending forwards but it would last only a few minutes then I'd be good and happy and normal again Thanks for reading. I am a bit lost as to why the symptoms are coming back more frequently now and any help would be appreciated. I feel very sad and frustrated because I can no control the symptoms. I don't know how to make them better or what to do to ease them.....I am just stuck with them whenever they chose to come back and it's horrible. Please if anyone can help with advice or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. regards, Daniel
