I've had some strange symptoms that have been caused by anxiety in the past but I'm unsure about this recent one.
For over a month now after a couple of minutes of being in bed and falling asleep I will try to move a part of my body but will be unable to, it's like a delay but it only lasts a second or 2. It's happened to both of my arms, my foot, tongue and recently my eyelids. It's not exactly sleep paralysis (which I do get often) bc it isn't my whole body paralyzed and doesn't last as long, also I only get SP in the mornings. It also doesn't happen every night.
It's sometimes accompanied by tingling in the affected body part, wave of adrenaline/anxiety in my head and on most occasions I wake up with my nose clogged with difficulty breathing. What could this be? Please I'd greatly appreciate any help.
It's totally harmless.
Looks up sleep paralysis. It usually happens when you have just fallen asleep or just wake up. Some people that t happens to can't move their entire body. It has happened to me and also my husband before too. Your just paralyzed for a few seconds and sometimes even a few mins. Look it up your totally fine!
My husband sometimes gets it just with one body part and I feel like it always happens just with my head. I'll
Wake up and feel like o can't lift my head and will feel confused and like my head is jittery.
Btw I didn't notice the part when you said you do get sleep paralysis lol
Yeah I'm starting to think this might be related to sleep paralysis or some sort of variation. I was doubtful because I though SP had to involve your whole body but from your experiences and my recent ones that doesn't seem to always be the case. Thank you.
