So,,
I've not been taking fluoxetin very long, (only about a month)
started with 10 mg, then 20 mg and one time I took 30 mg,
Now I've decided it's no good for me because it changed my personality quite much and only made me feel sick, so I stopped, but cannot believe the withdrawal symptoms can really be as bad as they are. I don't know how to handle them as well. I have lots of appointments and a lot of people expect something from me, which is the reason I need to get myself together as quickly as possible. But I feel so deeply miserable. The only thing I want is someone to support me, someone who is really interested in my well being.
But the person I'd need support from most now can't be with me.
I'm alone and I don't know what to do with myself. I keep thinking such bad things. I'm scared nobody loves me.
I don't want to be a sob, but well
I'd appreciate advice very much
Thank you,
Camille
Hi Camille, you've come of the meds too quickly which is why your experiencing withdrawal symptoms. You need to see your GP and discuss it together with a change in meds if that's what you want to do.
There is plenty support here albeit strangers and not face to face, but you do have your GP whose only interest is your wellbeing.
Unfortunately you can't "get it together" quickly with this illness, it takes its own time, but try and keep going with your usual routine, and for those people who expect something for you they may have to be disappointed as your wellbeing trumps anything else!
In the meantime go see your GP.

Hi. Stopping meds even after short time can have terrible withdrawals, and the hopeless feeling is awful. You should start to feel better after few days , for me I had physical symptoms when coming off a med years ago but worse was the anxiety and just feeling scared really that it felt so bad and needed reasurance it would get better. Speak to your doctor if you don't feel any better in few days and explain why you stopped taking meds, they should help and discuss other options. Understand it's a very lonely place when you feel like this, good to talk and try and take mind offit( I know , easier said than done, hope you get more replies to reasure you, lots of people here do sympathise and understand how this feels, ❤️
Hi Camille you really didn't give Prozac long enough to stabilise in your system also your dosage is a bit strange however you were put on it for anxiety l would imagine. If you are suffering from withdrawal it won't last long as you were only on the medication for a month.
