So I'm home resting my heart beat is normal 72_74 bpm but I still feeling slight shortness of breath....is that normal with anxiety....
Oh yes! maybe try some breathing exercises does help
Thanks Brenda...it happens alot and it makes me worry....after doing 5 ECGs and a chest x-ray could there be anything that's wrong??? sometimes I feel like I'm losing it...
Been there, you have to try and accept that your heart is fine the brain is a strong force have you spoke with GP re some counselling or medication ANXIETY is a awfull illness but try and accept you’ve had tests done and all is ok if you went to the opticians and they said your eyes were fine I’m sure you’d believe them stay strong xx
I got XANAX/ALPRAZOLAM but so scared to take them I just fear that something might go wrong if I take them
Not sure what they are for I’m on Prozac side effects were awfull but pleased I stuck with it each day is getting better but there is no quick fix xxx
Yes, your heart rate actually has nothing to do with the feeling short of breath. You are probably hyperventilating without realizing it. Try looking up breathing exercises for anxiety, you need to try to retrain yourself how to breath, taking deep belly breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. I actually find myself holding my breath at certain times without even realizing it. Just one of the lovely perks of having anxiety.
Nothing will go wrong as long as you take them like your doctor told you to.
