I been suffering from "anxiety" for over 2 months. It doesnt seem to get any better. Here are my symptoms
Legs and arms feel weak and heavy
Feeling faint
Mouth feels tight
Head pressure
Feels like my vision goes dim for a second
All of my symptoms seem to be 24/7
Can anxiety really be the cause ??
I have convinced myself im about to have a stroke any second now .
Can anyone relate?
Thank you
Hi Andrew, There are so very many of us here who can relate. Anxiety can cause all kinds of symptoms. It is a terrible condition. Have you seen your doctor yet? The sooner you get diagnosed and get a recovery plan the better off you will be. I wish you all the best. (((Hugs)))
Thatnk you for replying
Ive seen my regular dr and a cardiologist . Ive had blood test , echocardiogram, chest xray and a 24 hour holter moniter. Everything came back normal. Everyone tells me its anxiety. Its hard to accpet that because these physical symptoms are real and terrifying
Do you have similar symptoms?
I have been suffering with anxiety and depression for almost 3 years. I get heart flutters, occasional chest pains, tightness around my head, etc.. I am fortunate in that I do not have health anxiety though. I have general anxiety. I go to weekly group therapy, I see a psychiatrist once a month, and I am on medication. Still the anxiety rules my life.
I feel like this all of the time a feeling of dread consumes me every day
It’s so hard I feel your pain
So Sorry your going through this .
Are your symptoms 24/7? Like mine
Me too. I wake up with the feeling of dread. Maybe I just need to change up something in my life??
Yes 24/7 from the minute I get up to the time I try to sleep it’s so so bad I try my best to think positive thoughts but my anxiety consumes me to the point I want to scream or bury myself under a blanket but I cannot give in to this monster
Do you mind telling me your symptoms
Hi Andrew
My symptoms
Knot in my stomach followed by sweating racing heart hot flashes through my body a feeling of constant dread where I feel like vomiting and constant over thinking racing thoughts that won’t stop
It’s so so bad
Hi Andrew. Sounds like you’re really suffering. Anxiety has a way of getting a hold on you and then every sensation seems really magnetised. Are you taking any medication? When I first experienced anxiety 4 years ago it took a long time to recover and I eventually gave in to taking meds’ so I could stop worrying so much about every sensation. Eventually I weaned myself off as felt much better. Because a friend got ill a few months back, my anxiety is now back with a vengeance and like you, I’m on a mission to get out of the loop. It can be done though (I’ve done it before) but takes courage to not listen in to your symptoms. Easier said than done and I’m not doing that great either, but we’ll all get through it.
Yes Andrew
Everyone on site can relate to your list
Have you talked to your GP and explained your plight yet

Thanks for your support. I've talked to my doctor but she just says it's all anxiety related
I had to talk into giving me a referral to a cardiologist. She didn't think it was necessary
Thank you so much for your kind words .sorry that your going through this also. No one should
