Struggling with flex

Hi Everyone

I had my tkr 71/2 weeks ago, I am reallly struggling getting over 90 bend .I do my exercises daily and attend physio weekly. I did have a bit of a set back a few weeks ago and strained my thigh muscle and I do have additional damage from an accident 30 years ago and my ankle is also fused.

I have only just managed to walk on one crutch and can shuffle a few steps without. The stiffness is dreadful and seems to get worse the more I walk.

Very very frustrated ... any advise ????

I hate that bend measurements! In my head I understand it is all necessary but most days I see it as torture!  I also have set backs, every time I try to do my rehab I get dizzy and neausa.Hard to work when throwing up !

Rest ice, hot baths and elevation.

A sports Physio said to me is the exercise pain does not go away in an hour. The body needs more time to heal.

Good healing

HI there hazel, your very early into your po, give yourself a break, rest, ice, elevate your leg, your bend will come in time, don't be too hard on yourself. Be sure to do your exercises everyday and in time I promise you'll be feeling better. I'm almost a year and thought I'd never would recover. We all recover differently, some faster some slower.  I feel your pain, give yourself a break like I said, you'll get there! Best of healing to you 🌬🌬🌬 👼👼👼 🍀🍀🍀 🚴🚴🚴 🏊🏊🏊

P.s. Do not go into water until your scar is totally healed, as in no wound opening anywhere, as far as I know ice is best.  👍👍

Still early days. My bend has been very slow. I'm now eleven weeks and only just at 90. Don't worry too much, everyone is different, keep up the icing and the exercise, rest too when you need to.  It will get better.

Thanks for your replies Guys, much appreciated.

It's great to hear from people that know exactly

what I'm going through 😬
