I did it, I drove to tesco's getting in and out of the car no problems, walking with stick ok, only problem was the bloody trolly kept pulling to the left, I got round the store, great to be out amongst people again, by the time I got back to the car knackered doesn't begin to cover it then came the problem of lifting my shopping from the car up 5 steps to my house, but I'm a stubborn b*****r and I did it in 3 trips, now sitting in my chair a bit sore, cup a tea, feeling proud , but I'll probably suffer for it tommorrow

Well done I always think the first time when you do something that you used to do is always the hardest thing to do but it will be easier the next time

Well done but don't overdo it. I get my shopping delivered as I find it so much easier.

Well done. Getting loose shopping on our own is such a big deal after THR. I remember getting on great till I got to the till and I dropped some coins. Took me a while but managed to eventually bend down to pick them up :-)

I can't believe you are driving. I'm 6 weeks + and told by consultant not to drive for another 2 weeks. Bravo to you but take it easy.

thanks everyone for your positive feedback, my surgeon didn't say i couldn't drive I asked and he said when I'm pain free its all good, off to bed now to  watch a movie and sleep, night all sleep well, and may your god go with you.

wazzup with those trolleys??? It is a universal thing - conspiracy of trolleys all over the world to pull to the left !!!!  here in Holland too ...

the lifting out of the car and bringing the grocery bags in, is challenging - but you did good -
