Sudocrem for fissures?

Has anyone tried sudocrem to heal anal fissures? I have been suffering with anal fisdures for years on and off, they seem to heal and then recur. Also should i be putting the steroid cream on the fissures often to heal them?

I have not used sudocrem but reading about it I don't think it would hurt.  I have used Desitin which is helpful for healing.  I get a terrible reaction from the steroid cream - inflamation, burning, itching and blisters so I can't use it.

Hi

How have you been healing them thus far?   I too have been suffering on and off with them.  I have been using coconut oil on them And soaking in site bath. Do yours bleed often.   I feel like I am getting them because the rectum  is narrowing due to the LS.  I have to always pay attention to never become constipated.  How do you believe you got yours ?

If you use. Miramax it will help when you go to the bathroom plus it don't cramp your stomach.

I have been using coconut oil and putting steroid cream on now and again, im worried about the area thinning because of the steroid cream though. I think mine is from LS making the skin fragile and i also have ibs and used to take tablets to stop diarrhea and they would constipate me so that didnt help the problem. I have been taking fybogel to soften my stools which has been great and i was healing for about a month but then my diet went bad and i had abit of constipation and have a few tears and irritation. I looked into how to heal them and lots have people have suggested sudocrem and it contains zinc. So im going to give it a try and hopefully see some results

Warm bath and drying the area well has helped with healing.  I have overactive thyroid and rumatoid arthritis.  I’ve read where you are more inclined to get LS if you already have a autoimmune disease

Hi Jessicat

My granddaughter just seen a specialist for fissures, he prescribed

Diltiazem 2% in Vaseline. Hasn't used it yet. You could get a presc from your family Dr.

I'm sure. Might be worth a try. I had both fissures & fistulas eons of years ago, had surgery

wasn't a big deal. No problem since. Just putting up with LS.

I hope you find relief. Good luck
