I was diagnosed with LS and have found that washing with a mild soap like Johnson's baby soap and then using Calendula ointment has been very beneficial. I rarely have any symptoms - except when I neglect to use the Calendula, Hope this may help others with LS.
i have calendual oil - is that similar to the ointment. i've also seen calendual cream. so far everything i've tried does not seem to be working long term. initial application helps and then doesn't seem to anymore.
I have found that the ointment is the best. Probably the best brands will be found at a health store. Hope the calendula works for you! I have been using it for several years and it really does help.
Hi Kathryn, Be careful using Johnsons baby soap, ok it's mild, but it is very very drying.....so tons of moisturizing constantly all day, have tryed it myself, but gave up on it.
Thanks for telling me about the drying of Johnsons baby soap. Shea Moisture Olive and Marula i baby soap is a good one to try.
