you shouldent of had to go through depression at 8 thats young,we just got to keep plodding on regardless,exersise works eventualy but you need to stick at it,diets help,green tea helps which i would never of thought time time last year but it does help,other than that we just have to exsept the bad days and hope for the good ones
Hey Lisa, I can control bad thoughts a lot better now since doing a short course of CBT a few years ago.

It's a self analysis tecnique that is perfect for us over-thinkers!
I got such relief from 20 years of depression by sticking at it (It's tiring - like learning how to breathe again) that i have to recommend it to everyone!
I still get bad days, but much less often...

One of the old tricks was to turn yourself to your different side if troubled. I was told that by my Surrogate and it does work for some reason I have not worked out yet.
Try moving your pillow or reducing the temperature of the bedroom. The should be cool not hot or cold. We are supposed to sleep better in a cool room.
Sometimes a small glass of Milk will settle your tummy as Milk when we drink it becomes a solid in your tummy, this prevents acid making your tummy rumble etc. Try not drinking to much, just a small glass
