me? well days 3 and 4 wre a total bitch pain wise, never had this excruciating groin pain after the left hip opp. so now after a loveley shower and a smoothie, an all the numerous meds I have to take on a daily basis, I'm now sitting down with my fresh brewed coffee, and watching the movie (copycat) I have found that although it was the same hospital and the same dr, they have changed a lot of their rulles and regs, IE. unless you wound is oozing they send you home for the practice nurse to do it on day 7, also no follow up physio, you just follow the little book untill week 6 when I will be accessed,
The xrays sowed to perfectly allighned hips!! whoopee!! now I just need to work on the pain issues, I realise that as soon as I feel the the groin pain starting up I need to re does, that way I can keep on top of it, the only other thing is I have starting itching like crazy all over, and I have a pin prick red rash between my breasts and at the sides, so any advive from the lady hippys would be great, so hope you all have a great day, see you tomoz with day 6 update, thanks to all of you for being there for me,
Sorry you are having such a difficult time. I would check with your doctor about whether you may need different meds. The whole body itch and pinprick red rash could be a sign of allergy. I have had lots of reactions to many different drugs so maybe I'm overreacting. It wouldn't hurt to give a call and see what a medical professional has to say about those symptoms. Hope this is helpful and that your groin pain eases soon.
I am day 6 and after my first full day at home yesterday, I had horrible pain whilst sat down. I couldn't concentrate properly in a programme so went to bed
I had itching after my op, started in the recovery room. They said it was the Morphine. It was a few days before it went
There was no rash though.
I have found that my whole area under my boo a is tender and swollen so can't wear my normal size bras right now
I think your body does some crazy stuff after an operation

thanx Ginger, I have just tried anti itch neosporin cream, it seems to working, and yes I'm allergic to ghe morphine tabbs, I don't know it's one thing after the other at least things can only get better from now on , hopefully, Lynne.
HI lynne, it sounds to me like an allergic reaction to the morphine, that makes you itch and come out in a rash. Maybe you should ask your doctor or chemist for some Piriton that is good for allegies.
You will get better but it sounds as if this time it may take a little longer, that is telling you you need to rest more and save your flings till later Love Gill xxx
