After I urinate, I sometimes experience crampy like pain in the bladder area. It then goes away after 10-15 minutes. Does anyone else experience this? It is very annoying.
I have been self-cathing for 6 months is an effort to rehabilitate my distended bladder and sometimes experience a similar sensation to the one you describe although it is not particularly painful. It has not concerned me enough to discuss with my uro as I assume it is a result of my bladder being rehabilitated.

Can you tell us what other urological events preceded this? I had a TURP and my current symptoms are shortened urine flow but also a BURNING type of pain that gets worse towards the end of the flow. Not a “crampy” feeling and it goes away almost instantly. Any procedures that came before?
After cancer surgery and radiation, I suffered two pains:
**BURNING when peeing
For this I found URAL sachets (powder that alkalanizes the urine) helps enormously. Relief in 5-10 mins.
CRAMP in lower abdomen/bladder
A med called Amitriptyline worked wonders. At medium/high doses it is an anti depressant but at very low doses it was found to relieve my pains.
Please give them a go!
