i did have my gall bladder with numerous stones removed. But now i have IBS. had to have a colonoscopy and Ii had four polyps removed and one was pre-cancerous. I did star on a powder medication called cholestyram twice a day that has finally helped! So, I feel better in that way.Anyone else having these problems after their gallbladder removal?
I don't think that having your gall bladder removed caused you to have IBS. It is more likely that you had IBS all along but because the symptoms can be similar, it was hard to diagnose.
You are correct. In 1978, with an appendectomy, the dr. said I had Crohn's disease. In May with my colonoscopy, there was no sign of Crohn's. All these yrs. of a wrong diagnosis. But have had more symptoms of IBS since my gallbladder surgery in 2008. This is normal as I was told. In the last year the IBS has been extreme. I ate immodium and now under my new doctor he is finally addressing this problem for me.
Hi Angela,
my mother has severe pain after the removal.
Please confirm if this powder helps removing the pain
Everybody is different. Yes, the powder has helped with my digestion and loose bms. I was experiencing this 4-5 times a day. Been on this for a week and half and so far I am down to no looseness and one time a day. I am very happy with the results. Taste like gritty orange juice and take twice a day.
Many thanks Angela72602.........is there any other thing which you follow to keep the pain away.....
I do rest more. I try to eat correctly. I do take a muscle relaxer for back spasms that seem to aleviate the pain in my upper side also. Has your Mother discussed her pain with her doctor? her pain could be somerthing entirely different from mine. She really needs to tell the doc what is going on. i wll keep her in my prayers.
