i had my surgery yesterday . it went well and i felt on cloud 9 , the pain kicked in at 3 am this morning and i feel rough. Im on Tramadol and tylonel for pain along with antibiotics and a stool softener. My surgeon had an emergency so i wasnt able to speak with him after to find out how many hemorrhoids were removed. i dont think ive had stitches . the pain feels a dull ache and like my anus has been stretched to an inch of its life lol. im scared to break wind and he did say my first bowel movement would be an experience ill never forget so am terrified !
way to go on the surgury
ok usually they do stitches you may not feel them but I'm 99% sure you have either internal or external ones. Fart feels so good to, dont hold it makes it soo much worse. Yes slight pinch but once you start passing gas becomes naturally easier but its literally like retraining your bowls all over again, sometimes you do it and dont even realize it. First BM : get your tub ready with HOT water to go into right after. dont PUSH its gonna be painful IF you have use Xlyocaine it will numb the area right up and will feel less pressure when your going. IF you dont have BUY it's amazing help 100%.. xlyocaine 5% ointment if not take a pain killer right before you know you have to go, for me I was given Hydromorphone is makes you constipated but works very well.
keep me posted and good luck oh dont look either it's scary:)
forgot to mention typically you dont feel anything after surgury for 2 days Its numb just beware... baths are gonna be your best friend and dont sit on your bum
im not going to lie its rough. the pain is like no other. it all hurts. bowel movements, passing gas, coughing and lets not forget sneezing. the pain comes and goes. like i have my good and bad days. today for instance is a bad day. started my morning with the bowel movement from hell. ive been in pain since this morning. the stool softners keep everything nice and loose . its just like shooting razor blades from tour anus. trust me you dont want to get constipated. Always take the stool softners. my dr recommended a over the counter cream you can find at walgreens. its called recticare . apply it as much as you want . it gives you a little ease when you go to pass tour bowels. also stay on light foods . soaking in warm water after you move your bowels helps too. most importantly is to just rest. its a long recovery.
