Hi All,

I am Sushma Anandu from India. One of my friend who belongs to delhi. I meet her and then she told me that she often depressed if anything different happened in her daily schedule that she does'nt want at all. She has tried almost everything even a depression pill by nothing working for her. I dont know what to recommend her to get rid of this issue. I told her to do yoga will that help her somewhere to control her depression issue.

Hello SushmaAnandu,

It is great that you want to support your friend. I am in the UK so i am not sure what is available in India. Has she tried natural products from health food shops. Meditation is good also but it depends on how depressed she is. Yoga is good also. Is there anyone she will talk to that is not close to her, it maybe easier to talk to an outsider. Counselling is often a way for people to talk about issues. Don't force her to talkif she doesn't want to.Let her know that you are there if she needs you.

Thanks for looking into this. I believe, I should take her to the counseller, may be she can changed her view and keep her motivated. No, She didnt tried any natural products till know. May I know what kind of natural products you suggesting. Does it really works?

Hello SushmaAnandu,

I do hope that you can help your friend. St Johns Wort is supposed to be good for depression. Be careful when looking at natural products as they may not mix with other medication. You cannot take St Johns wort with Anti Depressants.

Hi SushmaAnandu,

Holland and Barrett do St Johns Wort.  I haven't used it myself and don't know anyone that as used i. If you ask in the shop they can advice you and answer any questions you may have.
