Hello, i have had redness come and go on my glans and foreskin for the past two months, it started after my girlfriend got a yeast infection and we both treated ourselves with canesten for two weeks to clear the symptoms.

All seemed fine until about a month later when my penis started becoming spontaneously red after showers, masturbation or anything friction-based.

It usually stops being red in under a day, sometimes only after a night of sleep undisturbed.

It does not hurt, sting or have discharge, so i dont know whether its yeast, std, balanitis or something else. The penile skin feels tender to the touch sometimes after masturbation or showering…

I tried canesten again, did not seem to help.
I tried coconut oil which doesn’t make it worse or better, it seems.
I dry it every time after shower or urination and i’m very clean in general.

It’s very frustrating to have the penis be red a few times a week, every week ☹

I never had redness like this before, can anyone advise?

My own doctor in denmark said it was just friction or eczema, not std or yeast infection. I think he was wrong?

Please help me 🙂
