hi, It does sound like gall bladder pain, l guess thats why the gp told you not to eat in case it got worse and you needed urgenttreatment, maybe the pain killers are dulling the pain for now, but it might come back severe if you stop them.  l,d def go back to docs, or a and e if it gets very bad. Maybe something light to eat, like toast, till you see if the pain returns. good luck

Thank you Lynn haven't taken any pain relief today to see how it gose, I just felt slightly sick afther eating a cumpet. Could that just of been a once off? or once you had a flare up will it hapoen again?

do you know Lynn what the doctor would suggest now or would I just wait to see if would hapoen again? the doctor was vague. thank you for replying x

Hi, You might feel sick due to after affects of pain and pain killers, see how it goes tomorrow with light diet.  Depends on your dr, some are more quick off the mark than others,l seem to recall l had 2 or 3 flare ups of pain and got referred to specialist for scan of gall bladder, it showed inflammation and l went on list for the op.it was a very easy op, key hole surgery, just over a day in hospital, out and about days later.   l think its probable your gp will wait and see if it flares again. l understand the vague response, been there, If youve another very bad attack and your worried you could always go into a and e, good luck.

Hi Sarah. Best NOT to eat fatty things like butter and oil, fried food etc. This could make it worse if it is gall bladder pain. I'd go back to doc's or A&E if it doesn't get better by tomorrow. Take care, Ellie UK
