It will help if i start with my story so far sorry to bore you
.
Since 16 i unknowingly had SVT just thought my heart was knackered or anxiety. I put up with it for 7 years but noticed it was getting far far worse to the point of near unconsciousness (when the heart would stop the rapped beats and regulate).
Went to docs for the first time 7 years later and had cassete, ecg etcetera...... not one episode of svt having the tech hooked up so did get the impression of i was lying.
2 weeks before my wedding, at work doing appraisal 'yay
' i had an episode, it shortly after resided, however it did not return to sinus and felt very lumpy (iirregular) it was like this several hours later so decided to call 111, they advised to go Bath RUH A&E.
got there, ecg very fast service which gave clear evidence i was in A/F i was tachy 1 second brady the next , i was then given a drip to rectify this which it did about 1.5 hours later. I was the passed to overnight watch as i was in sinus ryhtym, went to the toilet and BAM! SVT with vengeance back to A&E then it rectified then back again this happened repetitively, any time i stood up.
Various docs and consultants seen me throughout the night, they decided Bristol hospital would be best for me and i was ablated the very next day he said i had something similar to WPW but didnt go into to much detail apart from he hit it good and hard so very successful ablation.
I had A/f for a little while after and was prescribed beta blocker and was also given 72 hour tape , 3 months later i was discharged And i felt perfect with regular exercise.
4 months after discharge (a few days ago) my heart has gone in to a/f wtf!?.....a&e said it is regular with atopic beats so have given me more beta blockers which are working but is this normal this long after ablation?
