Just looking for some positive svt stories, my daughter was born in a svt episode June last year, after a few days at the children's hospital her cardiologist found digoxin and flecainide to be the two best drugs to stop the episodes, the first few months of life we had a few episodes in between Med increases but from 5 months onwards she had no episodes at all (that we picked up) our cardiologist decided now that she is 11 months we would trial her off the flecainide, unfortunately she's been having episodes so he's told us to put her back on the flecainide. We are disheartened and sad that she hasn't outgrown svt yet, we are hoping there is still a chance she might, any positive stories will be much appreciated!
There seems to be a lot of people who are born with SVT but don't experience bad episodes until later in life, so I think your little one has been unlucky. I think that once she is big enough to undergo ablation, then it should be a permanent fix for her. I had my ablation 2 weeks ago, and I'm feeling great. Sorry I can't be any more help, but you should get some great feedback on this forum.
Lots of empathy here for you and your child's situation. It seems she's receiving excellent medical care, and I know you'll be sure that continues. She already has such promising treatment options, and I'm confident that aspect of your lives will only improve. We wish the very best for you all.
A good friend of mine had exactly this with her little girl.
I've had SVT but had it successfully ablated 18 months ago, but with her the first couple of years she stayed on a low dose of beta blockers, but as she grew her symptoms went away.
She's now 6 and SVT and medication free. A bit like the other comments on here, when she's old enough it can be fixed if needed, but I would have some hope that in the near future her symptoms will reduce. 2 years onwards and she had very short less frequent episodes, 3 years on nothing.

I'm glad I spotted your post and was able to help.
The extra little bit I wanted to add last time was that SVT is one of those very "safe" things to have wrong with your heart. I work in the NHS and medical colleagues often reassured me that SVT isn't the sign of a "bad heart" just some rouge wiring that can be mended or as is often the case with little ones, it fixes as they grow.
My little kids are big kids now and I know that worry as a parent, but I'm sure this will work out.
