Hi i am a 24 year old male. I just want to know if any one of you guys get SVT attack regularly and fast heart beat EVERYDAY and also combined with chest pain and shoulder pain?
Only after episodes that last longer than an hour
Hi David,
My partner, who is also 24, suffers from SVT. He suffers from attacks when he is under stress or has been ill with a cold. It normally takes him at least a week to recover fully, and we have just started him on a daily aspirin and paracetamol and ibuprofen three times a day during his chest pains. We are also looking for new techniques to help him out so he doesn't have to rely on tablets all the time.
Thanks for the reply.. Does he have it like often? And like on normal days, does he gets irregular heart beat like he feels the heart beats faster for 5-7 seconds and come back to normal?
It's more often these days because he has taken on a more stressful job in a school. At the moment every school holiday he will be bad and will have to recover before he goes back. His heartbeat is always irregular, it will beat normally and then have three or four fast beats and then beat normally again. It took him a while to get used to that. His heart seems to beat faster than mine on a regular basis, and slower than mine when he is resting. If his heart skips beats it make him bad and he has to rest for the rest of the day.
Just tell him that it's same for me, am suffering a lot these days because three months ago I started getting SVT attack like 2 times on average a week. Irregular heart beat its everyday and I suffer a lot from that. Haven't he tried medication? Or is planning an ablation?
He has had an ablation.
