I sweat in my sleep. It is so bad, My pyjamas get wet. Head gets wet too. I feel like a shower. I told GPs three times. But they are not taking me seriously.
I totally understand and empathize. For several years I dealt with anxiety-triggered Craniofacial Hyperhidrosis, usually during waking hours throughout the day. Besides prayer and meditation, I tried Acupuncture which did not help. My Primary Doc had no clue as he was uneducated on both the subject and treatment. I found Dermatologists to also not be helpful. What proved helpful was identifying Specialists, doctors who are experts in skin disorders, sweat glands, and botox. A good Specialist will recommend medication before attempting the costly botox. I have been on these meds for 4 years and since have experienced a sweat-free life with NO symptoms: 5mg Oxybutynin Chloride (2-3 times/day, and 1mg Glycopyrrolate (1/day). Hope my story helps!
Its a real shame when doctors behave like that. Take pictures of you sweating. Take the wet clothes to the appointment. My doctor prescribed Oxybutynin Hydrochloride. Works very well. I sweat more during the day and sometimes at night. Tell your doctor its not a matter that goes away, be firm. Good luck. Let us know how you get on.
Thank you very much. I will tell the GP.
